This little lady whose nose is always in everything is none other than Mika McKay. A tongue twister of a name and a troubling, twisted head too. She suffers from a very mild case of bipolar as well as Tourette's syndrome. Both have put her on the outside of the "normal people group", so she flits and floats about, trying to find her place. She was happy when her family moved to Cinead. Maybe now she can have a fresh start on life. She sets herself up as a flirty nerd. An odd combination, but they exist. She dresses up pretty, does the hair, dolls up on the makeup, buys the cute clothes. But then she goes on long debates with the Star Wars fans and trades Pokemon cards and sits in on D&D campaigns. She decided that when she moved here, she would just be herself. And that's what she's doing. She participates and invests in what she loves. She has a few other hobbies to keep her occupied, if only so her parents will stop pestering her about getting too involved in fantasy and entertainment. She does baking, embroidery, woodcarving, and enters sandcastle building competitions in the summer. She's very imaginative, taking her inspirations from things she's seen or read. She likes to write little fanfictions and draw pictures of all the 'ships' she comes up with for series' couples. But though this girl may sound quirky and cute, there are dark things to Mika that should probably not be left in the dark. She is emotionally compromised. Not a sobbing puddle, no, not that far gone, but she's lived a long time being bullied, pushed aside, and denied things, all because she was 'weird' or 'different'. It's turned her greedy, selfish inside. She puts her own needs above others' because she feels she needs to be validated more. She steals things because she doesn't want people telling her no. And when se's angry with others, she becomes those she despised so long. She's not a fighter. She can't beat people up. Not with sticks or stones at least. Words are her weapons. Her verbal abuse borders on the obscene. One would think age would have mellowed her out. Nothing's changed, even at seventeen. It's just ben steady and ongoing. Perhaps, one day, she'll change. One day she'll look in the mirror and hate what she sees. Or maybe she won't ever see. Maybe she'll just continue to create her own hell.
